Queensland Youth Services are proud to announce that the Rotary Club of Port of Townsville has supported our Identification Project.  This project has been set up so that approximately 50 young people who have no other means to gain this identification can do so.

Throughout the term that many of the young people who spend time in QYS programs, there are numerous times that our staff are called upon to assist a young person to gain 100 points of identification for different reasons.  The most common of these is gaining a Birth Certificate as this can also be used to gain other forms of identification.  This identification is crucial to their survival and independence. Some of the ID required items –

  • Youth allowance
  • Bank account
  • Health care card
  • Medicare card
  • 18 + card
  • Learners license
  • Apply for rental accommodation
