2023 Youth Survey

Let your voice heard by joining the Mission Australia 2023 Youth Survey.

Mission Australia would like you to participate in the largest annual survey of young people across Australia.

Now in its 22nd year, this survey seeks the views of young people and asks their perspective on a range of important topics. Focus areas for the 2023 survey include:

  • study & work
  • personal concerns
  • sources of support
  • wellbeing
  • housing & financial situation
  • discrimination & unfair treatment
  • community support; and
  • climate.

Participation in this survey assists organisations with assessing the needs of young people and enables us to gain a clearer picture of what is happening with the emerging generation of Australia. With this knowledge, we then know how to help you more effectively.

The survey is now open for people aged 15-19 and will take approximately 20 minutes to complete. It will close on 11 August 2023.

Over 18,800 young people participated in the 2022 Youth Survey. Let’s help get that number higher!

Where do I find information and resources about the 2023 Youth Survey?

Visit the 2023 Youth Survey homepage and access your Youth Survey Toolkit to find information for principals, teachers, students and parents, the document “A young person’s guide to reporting the risk of harm”, and a template consent form (you do not have to use this specific form as different schools have different policies to inform when parental consent is needed and how it is to be collected).
