KEY PEOPLE IN QYS


Wendy Lang – CEO

Wendy has over 20 years experience in management, 15 years in the Australian Public Service, administering the Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander National Education Policy and more recently, 9 years experience in the  Queensland public service as a Studies Director with the Barrier Reef Institute of TAFE. Formal qualifications held are a Diploma of Teaching (Prim); and a Bachelor of Management.


Chris Hains – Finance & Commercial Officer

Chris joined QYS in June 2020 after 19 years working in the Hotel Industry in New Zealand, Fiji and Australia. Chris’s qualifications are: Commerce Degree, Post Graduate Diploma, and Certified Practising Accountant (CPA).


Dana Saulter – Office Administrator

Dana joined the organisation in January 2021, after having built a diverse, international career in several management and client services roles in the Tourism and Leisure industry for the past seven years. Dana has a Bachelor’s Degree in Communication Studies and Sociology, and is currently studying Project Management at TAFE Queensland. Dana has a passion for all things communication, whether it is visual, written or spoken, and enjoys finding ways to use those modes of communication effectively to share important messages.


Murray Holm – Road Safe Program Facilitator

Murray is the facilitator of the Road Safe Programs which consists of the Learner Driver program, the Learners Test program as well as the LearnIt L’s to P’s program. Murray has a teaching qualification and has been employed at QYS for 4 years.


Chris Martin – Townsville Youth Housing & Reintegration Service (YHaRS) Program Coordinator

Before joining QYS in 2019 Chris had 5 years’ experience with The Department of Child Safety Youth & Women. Prior to that Chris held positions in the electrical sales and distribution industry. Chris has a keen interest in sport especially hockey, having success at a state representative level as well as a national level in the Masters competition. Chris holds a Diploma in Community Services.


Ruth Martin – Young Parents Programs (YPP) Coordinator

Ruth has worked for QYS in the Young Parents program since 2007. Prior to this she worked in the education and special education sector for 4 years. She also operated a small business in Info Tech, designing web sites, retail, and software training. Ruth‘s qualifications are: Bachelor of Education and Bachelor of Psychology.


Jodie Cronk – Reconnect Acting Team Leader

Before joining QYS in 2017 Jodie worked for the Department of Human Services for 10 years and QPS for 5 years. Jodie has a love fitness and hiking and is especially proud of her Indigenous heritage. Jodie has a Certificate III in Administration, a Diploma in Justice Studies and is currently completing Certificate IV in Community Services.


Priscilla Lane – Mt Isa Youth Housing & Reintegration Service Team Leader

Priscilla joined the Mount Isa YHARS team in July 2020. Priscilla’s background is Alcohol and Other Drugs (AOD) working with affected adults within a rehabilitation setting for over 7 years. Priscilla has also worked with the children involved within the Youth Justice and Child Safety systems. Priscilla has been living in the Mount Isa region for the past 18 years, originally from The Gulf Town of Normanton and Karumba. Priscilla has a passion for working with Disadvantaged Children whilst trying to make a difference in their lives. Priscilla has a Cert IV in Alcohol and Other Drugs, a Cert IV in Employment Services and a Diploma of Leadership and Management.
