It’s National Volunteers Week, and it’s time to celebrate some of our community champions!
This week we hosted our very own Volunteers Afternoon Tea, a time filled with good company and delicious treats, as a thank you to our team of cherished volunteers. We even had Kim, Chris, Marita and Anne from Transport and Main Roads Queensland stop in to meet everyone and hear how things were going on the ground.
QYS is so thankful for our many volunteers and the support they continue to provide us through their time and selfless efforts. The impact you, our volunteers, have on our community is immeasurable, and the difference you make in the lives of our young people will create generations of positive change.
From each individual to volunteer-based organisations like the Rotary Club of Thuringowa Central, who currently sponsor four LearnIT vehicles, we could not succeed without you.
The act of volunteering is something that builds and strengthens communities by bringing people together to work towards great outcomes. Through volunteering, we truly are Better Together.
Take a moment to thank a volunteer today.
