On Wednesday, 9th April 2014, QYS presented our new site for our relocated services to the community of Townsville. A traditional smoking ceremony was performed and the staff also had the ceremony performed on them. This ceremony will help to ward off any bad spirits that might have been in the building in order to have a ‘fresh start’ for staff and clients.
Guests from community organisations, representatives from local, state and federal government departments, and local community members attended the ceremony. Many of our guests took the opportunity to tour the premises and have a look at what our services are providing in the region.
